The founder of the Company, Steven Marsh finished his training in England at Brighton Technical College in September 1978. He finished his training with credits, and worked at many different establishments from fine dining restaurants to hospitals, before leaving for Canada in 1980.
Steven worked at various remote site camps as Chef for nearly two years, before being promoted to General Manager, Edmonton for Boatel Remote Site, Canada at 27 years of age. After four years, Steven tired of the constant travel and decided to start Elizabethan Catering Services Ltd, in October 1985.
Initially working from his home, the business quickly grew to the point, where in February 1986, a 950 sq. ft. kitchen was rented. After 5 years, the company outgrew the space, and rented a 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse. In March 1996, the company purchased their space and a further 5,000 sq. ft to expand their facility to over 10,000 sq ft.
This facility is one of the largest catering facilities in Western Canada, and we are proud to be the oldest surviving caterer in Edmonton and surround area. The philosophy of the company has not changed. We are “Unquestionably, the Most Caring Caterer in the Business!”
